Walkers are welcome! We ask that racers line up at the start line in order of pace; this would put walkers toward the back.

The Baltimore Women's Classic is a women-only race (the country's second oldest!) so men may not participate in the race. But we'd love to have them as volunteers.

Who is Jenny Smith?
Jenny Smith, a native of Stevenson, Maryland, was known throughout the community as a tireless volunteer, a savvy business woman and a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. In July 2001, Jenny lost her battle with uterine sarcoma at the age of 51. Longtime friend Mary Burrows thought it a fitting celebration of Jenny's life and legacy to sponsor the Baltimore Women's Classic 5K, which benefits the Barnett-Searing National Cancer Foundation and its committment to supporting research for gynecologic cancers.
