The BWC 5K has arranged for the Camden Yards Stadium Lot C to be open for race day morning.  The cost is $10 per car. This can be the easiest lot to get to, and is approximately a 20-minute walk to Rash Field.  Directions to Lot C are included below as well.

Race Start Times

The 5K race begins at 8 a.m. The Jenny Smith Kids Fun Run begins at 9 a.m.

Walkers in the 5K are welcome! We ask that racers line up at the start line in order of pace; this would put walkers toward the back.

Children Participants?

Children who are able to walk/run the 5K may participate—just sign them up accordingly, and a guardian over 18 must sign the waiver.  Otherwise, the Jenny Smith Kids Fun Run is available for those 8 and under.

Men Participants?

The Baltimore Women's Classic is a women-only race (the country's second oldest!) so men may not participate in the race. But we'd love to have them as volunteers.

Race Confirmations

We do not send registration confirmations, but if you sign up for our e-newsletter, you will receive up-to-date information, including race details.

BWC is "Chip Timed"

Timing chips will be available at all packet pick-up locations and on race day beginning at 6:30 a.m.  Chips are collected at the finish line by a helpful volunteer.

Packet Pick-Up

You can pick up your race materials (shirt, timing chip, race bib, and goody bag) at the following dates and locations:

Thursday, June 23 - Hunt Valley Town Centre - 12:00-7:00 p.m.

118 Shawan Road, Hunt Valley 21030

Between Wegman's and DSW, there are smaller shops. In the middle of these shops, there is a median area. We are going to be in that area, across from the escalators, under a tent.

Friday, June 24 - City Sports, Harbor East - 12:00- 7:00 p.m.

809 Aliceanna Street, 21202

Saturday, June 25 - Charm City Run, Timonium - 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.

2045 York Road, 21093

And on race day starting at 6:30 a.m.

You can also register in person at any of these locations, but onlythe first 2,500 are guaranteed a shirt and goody bag!

Teams

Any group of 5 or more can be a team! Each person can register themselves and enter the team name and captain's name on their registration form.A prize is given to the largest team, awarded at the post-race award ceremony!

Medical Support Staff

There will be police and medical staff. There will also be two waterstops along the race course in case our participants need to stop for a drink.

Jogging Strollers?

YES, the BWC allows women with jogging strollers to participate in the Classic. We only ask that you line up at the back of the pack at the start line so that you do not impede the progress of other runners. As the Baltimore Women's Classic is a chip-timed event, your location at the start will not impact you receiving your "true" race time. Your chip will register when your cross the start line and when you cross the finish, so that you will receive your correct race time in spite of your start location. No bikes, skates, pets, skateboards are allowed on the course.

  • The Jenny Smith Kids Fun Run at 9:00 a.m.

Set up your own page, connect it to Facebook and Twitter, email everyone you know, and watch your dollars grow! You can also print out a PDF pledge form and either mail in your donations or bring the cash and checks to race day registration. Checks should be made payable to Baltimore Women's Classic.

New to 2011 - be an "Elite Fundraiser" by raising at least $750 by June 1st and receive special treatment on race day!
